Why this space exists
The PhD can be isolating. This community is for confessions, questions, and small wins — a place to say the quiet part out loud without it following you around your department.
Anonymity
Posts show a pseudonym by default, or nothing at all if you choose "fully anonymous." Be mindful that identifying details in your post's text (your field, institution, or a very specific situation) can still make you recognizable even under a pseudonym — anonymity protects the byline, not the content.
What's not okay here
Harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing or sharing someone else's personal information, spam, and impersonation. Posts and comments can be reported, and reported content is reviewed by moderators.

This community offers peer support, not professional care. If a post — including your own — touches on something heavy, please also consider reaching out to your institution's counseling service, a trusted person in your life, or a local crisis line. You don't have to go through this alone.
